Your Child Can. We Know How. Together
Your child is capable of so much more, and we’ll work together to help them reach beyond what you thought possible.
No waitlist. No runaround. Therapy starts within 14 days.
What makes us different for Charlotte families
Start Within Two Weeks (Not Two Years)
Most families we work with start therapy within 14 days of their first call. No waitlist. No "we'll call you in six months." Charlotte families don't have time to wait—your child needs help now, and we get that.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Partnership
We work directly with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS)—one of the nation's largest districts with 184 schools serving nearly 140,000 students across Mecklenburg County. When we build your child's therapy plan, we're thinking about their classroom. We coordinate with teachers. We align goals with what's happening at school. Your child's progress shows up both at home and in the classroom because everyone is on the same page.
Charlotte's Growing Autism Community
Charlotte has stepped up. The city invests in inclusive parks with sensory playgrounds. Adaptive programs. Community spaces designed for kids like yours. The Autism Society of North Carolina holds regular support groups throughout the Charlotte metro. Parent networks are strong and connected. You're not alone, and you're in a city that's starting to understand.
Our services
We offer six core services—all personalized to your child, all designed to work in the real spaces where your child actually lives.
Autism Assessment & Diagnosis
Your child hasn't been diagnosed yet? Or you're wondering if the diagnosis is right? Through our partnership with As You Are, we offer virtual autism assessments across North Carolina with most families seen within 2–3 weeks. Fast. Thorough. Then we're ready to start therapy immediately—no referral delays, no repeating your story.
In-Home ABA Therapy
This is where real learning happens. Our therapists come to your home and work with your child in the environment they know best. Breakfast. Playtime. Getting ready for bed. The moments that matter. We teach skills where your child actually uses them, not in a clinic office.
Telehealth ABA Therapy
When in-person doesn't work for your family's schedule, our BCBAs provide full therapy support through secure video sessions. Same expert care. Your schedule. Your home.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Collaboration
We partner with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools to support your child during the school day. We work with teachers at elementary, middle, and high schools across the district. We coordinate IEP goals. We attend meetings. We make sure your child gets consistent support in the classroom.
Parent & Caregiver Training
Here's the truth: you're with your child way more than we are. So we teach you. Weekly coaching sessions. Real strategies for real situations. How to handle meltdowns. How to build independence. How to reinforce skills at home so progress doesn't stop when therapy ends.
Insurance Coordination & Support
We handle it. Medicaid verification. Prior authorizations. Claims. Reauthorizations. You focus on your child. We focus on making sure the paperwork doesn't slow you down.

Meet our team
We're not a national chain with therapists who rotate in and out. Our Charlotte team lives here. They know the community. They know Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. They understand what families in this area are dealing with.
Our BCBAs hold master's degrees and are certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Our therapists are Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or are working toward RBT certification under close supervision. We hire slowly and deliberately. We train obsessively. We keep our caseloads small so your child gets genuine attention.
When you work with Epic Minds in Charlotte, you're working with people who chose to be here. Who chose to build something in this community. Who genuinely believes that every kid deserves a shot.
How we work
01Get in Touch
You call. You tell us your story. What you've noticed. What worries you. What you hope for. We listen. We ask questions. We explain how we work. No pressure. Just conversation.

02We Assess Your Child
One of our BCBAs meets with you and your child. Not in an office. In your home, if that feels better. We watch. We listen. We get to know your kid's strengths and challenges. We ask you questions about what matters to your family.

03We Build a Plan
With what we learned in the assessment, we create a treatment plan tailored to your child. Not a template. Not something off the shelf. Something designed specifically for who they are and what they need. We will explain it to you. We answer questions.

Real families, real results
"He went from barely playing to leading the neighborhood kids. We didn't think that was possible."
Nicole and David's son Ethan was struggling with friendships and play skills. Quiet. Withdrawn. Watching from the sidelines while other kids played. "We were worried he'd always be the kid sitting alone. That broke our hearts."
With Epic Minds, Ethan's therapists worked on social skills in real-life settings—at parks, playdates, neighborhood gatherings. Within eight months, the transformation was visible. "One day we looked out the window and Ethan was outside organizing a game with the neighborhood kids. Leading it. Laughing. We couldn't believe what we were seeing."
Nicole says the skills stuck because they were taught in real moments. "It wasn't about worksheets or role plays in an office. It was about understanding Ethan's world and helping him fit into it."

"CMS coordination made all the difference. The transition to middle school was seamless."
James and Keisha's daughter Zara was thriving at her elementary school but they were terrified of middle school. "We heard stories about kids regressing when they change schools. Zara had come so far. We didn't want to lose that."
Epic Minds coordinated directly with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The BCBA met with Zara's new teachers. Shared strategies. Explained her needs. Attended transition meetings.
"When Zara started middle school, her teachers already knew her. The strategies were in place. She felt supported from day one. That's not luck—that's because Epic Minds set her up for success."
James says the anxiety he and Keisha felt just disappeared. "We realized Epic Minds wasn't just working with our daughter—they were making sure her entire school community understood and supported her."

"Two weeks from diagnosis to therapy starting. That speed changed everything."
Robert's son was just diagnosed with autism. "I was panicking. Everything I read said you have to get early intervention started immediately. But everyone had waitlists."
He found Epic Minds. "They got us within two weeks. Assessment done. Plan made. Therapy started. That speed matters more than people realize. Every month counts when your kid is young."
Robert says watching his son progress after therapy started gave him hope. "We went from panic to action in two weeks. That's not typical. That's because Epic Minds takes this seriously."

"The therapist actually sees our daughter. Not just the diagnosis."
Latoya's daughter Amara has autism and significant anxiety. "I've worked with providers who tried to force her into their mold. Same program for every kid. It doesn't work. Especially not for Amara."
With Epic Minds, everything is different. "They watched Amara. They noticed what calmed her. What motivated her. What her strengths actually were. Then they built therapy around her—not around what some manual said she should do."
Latoya says the anxiety Amara carried began to ease as she felt truly understood. "Amara actually looks forward to her sessions. That tells me the therapist sees her. Values her. Believes in her. That's everything."
